CRYPTOFAUNA is a reflection on life in motion.

Inspired by creatures, symbols, and patterns that have appeared throughout human history, the collection explores the cycles that connect all living things. Birth and death. Creation and transformation. The tides that pull us forward and the unseen currents that shape our lives.

Scorpions, beetles, fish, crabs, and other ancient forms appear throughout the collection, not simply as creatures, but as reminders of a wisdom that has always existed within the natural world. Across cultures and throughout time, humanity has looked to these beings for meaning, guidance, protection, and understanding.

Many of the pieces draw from the symbolism of water, spirals, lunar cycles, and movement itself. Nothing in nature stands still for long. The moon moves the tides. Rivers carve stone. Creatures molt, migrate, transform, and begin again.

Each piece serves as a small relic of that process. A living thing immortalized in metal. A reminder that life is not linear, but cyclical. Always moving. Always becoming.

Some creatures are not here to soften the story.

THE RED MAW was created around the centipede as a creature of movement, instinct, and ancient fear. Something low to the earth, close to shadow, always crossing from one hidden place to another.

Throughout history, centipedes have been tied to protection, poison, death, transformation, and the underworld. Not as something gentle, but as something powerful enough to guard the threshold.

There is a reason creatures like this keep appearing in old stories.

They remind us that life does not only move through I  idealistic beauty.

Sometimes it moves through danger. Through hunger. Through the dark mouth of change.

Set along the body are deep red garnets, stones long connected to vitality, protection, devotion, and blood memory. Their color gives the piece its pulse.

PROCESS

CRYPTOFAUNA began as a collection of individual forms gathered over time. Ancient feeling brass creatures, symbols, and fragments that seemed to carry stories of their own.

Rather than being designed from a single mold or manufactured as a matching set, each piece emerged through a process of curation and assembly. Components were carefully selected and brought together based on symbolism, movement, balance, and the dialogue they created with one another.

Each finished piece becomes its own small ecosystem of meaning, where creatures, stones, and symbols meet to tell a story larger than any single element alone.

Every element serves a purpose.

The creatures were chosen intentionally. The stones were selected for the conversations they create with one another. The movement, weight, and placement of each component are considered as part of the overall story.
